BTSD offers the following plans through BMCS- Aetna only to employees working more than 120 Work Days. Your assigned benefits will populate at the time of enrollment: 

• BMCS Open Choice 2
• BMCS Open Choice 3 Deductible Plan / BMCS Open Choice 4 Deductible Plan

The Prescription Plan coverage is tied to the medical plan selected. You must be enrolled in medical to participate in prescription coverage.

Vision: Bensalem Township School District is pleased to provide this information about your vision care plan administered by Davis Vision, Inc., a leading national administrator of vision care programs to employees working more than 120 Work Days. Eligibility for vision care benefits is determined by the same rules that apply to your health care benefits.

Dental through United Concordia: If you need to contact the carrier, please refer to your Dental Group Number: 075310. Available to employees working more than 120 Work Days.

Medical Health Care FSA:

• The FSA plan year runs from 7/1 to 6/30 of each year. 
• The annual maximum election is $3400 per employee.
• If at the end of the plan year, an employee has any remaining funds, the plan allows a 90-day run-out period to submit claims incurred from 7/1 to 6/30. Any requests in the run-out period need to be submitted manually and not via your FSA card.
• After the 90-day run-out period, any remaining funds, up to $680 will carry over to the next 7/1 to 6/30 plan year.
  • Employees do not need to make an active election for funds to carryover but please note that the carryover funds will not be posted to the new plan year until early Oct of each year. Any funds remaining over the $680, will be forfeited.

Short-term Disability: This benefit is based on 66-2/3% of salary. The benefit is the greater of 30 days or the length of the accumulated sick leave.

Long-term Disability: This benefit is based on 60% of salary (maximum annual salary of $84k) and provides income in the event you are temporarily disabled and unable to work.

Employer Paid Basic Life and AD&D: As an employee of Bensalem Township School District, you are automatically enrolled in the Basic Life and AD&D, which is paid for by BTSD. The benefit amount is based on a percentage of your salary.  Please update beneficiary information during your enrollment call.

Voluntary Supplemental Life: You are also eligible to enroll in Voluntary Life for yourself. Benefit amounts are in increments of $25,000, up to a maximum of $100,000.  There is no AD&D included in this benefit. Please update beneficiary information during your enrollment call.

Employee Assistance Program: Your employer offers you an EAP program through Quantum Health Solutions, providing you with assistance on issues such as marital or emotional problems, stress and depression, legal and financial matters, anxiety, etc. Their 24-hour number to access these services is 877-747-1200.
